The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Project is delivering a new $1 Billion purpose-built facility for cancer research, treatment, care and education in the Melbourne suburb of Parkville, Victoria.
KPD is working closely with the project lab design team to deliver the facility including PC2 complainant cantilevered laboratory bench systems and lab services reticulation management.
The facility features KPD's SLS (Suspended Laboratory Services) System and the PC3 compliant ARS30 reagent shelving systems throughout. KPD are also supplying laboratory furniture items including Lab storage units and lab benching generally.
The project will provide a brand new home for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and new cancer research and clinical services for Melbourne Health (including the Royal Melbourne Hospital) and new cancer research and education facilities for The University of Melbourne.

System 10
The traditional services duct at the back of the bench suited the past practice of manual benchwork but since then work has become more automated.
System 10 has a horizontal services duct but at a higher level, high enough to allow bench mounted instrumentation and equipment below it. Another feature of this system is more bench space than, say, System 6. The single reagent shelf is removable if not required.
